To complete this form you will need:

  • the link to the content published digitally, including access details to content behind a paywall
  • a profile photo or logo (min 350 x 350px)
  • a readable PDF version of the content
  • a transcript of content in any video
  • an image or screenshot for the post
  • to have a read through our Responsible Communication Principles

GENERAL NOTES:

  • Items marked (*) are REQUIRED
  • All URLs should include the full path, including the http://
  • Only authors can submit their own work, please do not submit other authors’ content
  • All content must first have been published online
  • All content must be original, and published between 1/6/2016 and 31/5/2017

For a distinguished example of investigative or traditional journalistic reporting by an individual or team, presented as a single wine article or series (written text)

  • 1500 words or fewer
  • Must explore a single subject dealing with some aspect of the wine industry
  • Must include references to sources
  • Must try to be fair reporting striving for accuracy, fairness, and disclosure of all essential facts without bias
  • Value will be given to the BDWA “Quality Criteria” with an emphasis on Research

All submissions must have first been published digitally, between 1/6/2016 and 31/5/2017.

Please provide a link to the original content online. If this is behind a paywall, please provide information below (in the comments) about how we can access it.

STEP 4: ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS

For auditing and possible translation purposes, we ask that you supply a clear PDF document of the original content.

If the original content is not in English, you have the choice of supplying your own translation or having the content professionally translated should the entry reach the final stages.
Note: The BDWAbyWIM will do the best to make sure this is as accurate and fair as possible, but we cannot offer authors the chance to review the translation. If you wish to receive the translation into English for your own use, you will be able to do so for a small charge of €25+VAT after the results have been announced.
